Athabasca University


The following professors coordinate our history courses. They write, revise, and administer courses, manage teams of tutors, and tutor students directly. Professors also help run the university and are busy researching and publishing in their own fields of expertise. Most AU historians are in the Centre for the Humanities, unless otherwise indicated.

Students studying history at Athabasca University are assigned to tutors, in the British style. Tutors are often part-time and have other work or academic appointments.
