Nanci Langford has a doctorate in Historical Sociology. She tutors the SOCI 381 course which focuses on social inequality.  Her research publications and interests are the settlement experiences, both historical and contemporary, of women and couples who migrate to the prairie region of Canada, early Canadian feminism, farm women's organizations, the sociological and political history of reproduction and childbirth in Canada, early prairie schoolteachers, and the Canadian teachers who travelled as exchange teachers to New Zealand in the 1920s.
