Literary Studies
Literary Studies (LTST) encourages interdisciplinary, comparative, historical, and theoretical approaches to the study of literature. Students will read works from the English-speaking world as well as works in English translation, engaging with those texts and their cultural and historical contexts. The LTST focus area trains participants in advanced research and helps them gain expertise in close and contextual reading methods. Students will also have the opportunity to practice and perfect advanced writing in many forms. The communication, critical thinking, and research skills gained through LTST courses are widely transferable and in demand.
